Bryce Lee

Bryce has had a long-term interest in uniting with other men in dance.  Based on his own experiences, Bryce learned that for boys in ballet, the challenges are much different from their female counterparts and having another guy to share the journey with makes those challenges easier. 

 

While still a student, Bryce began leading a junior boys’ dance class where they focused not only on ballet but also on developing rhythm and musicality as well as strength and conditioning. 

 

Since moving to Colorado, Bryce has continued to teach classes for male dancers at studios in the Denver area.

 

Perhaps most influential on Bryce’s teaching style is his time as a “Navy Brat”,  by the time he discovered ballet in Southern California, he had already lived in 9 different states.  This unique experience provided him the insight needed to quickly adapt to the expectations of people from a variety of circumstances. 

 

He knows first-hand what it is like to be the new kid on the block and what it’s like to be different and the challenges to adapt to ever changing environments.  These skills provide Bryce with an empathetic and relatable teaching style. He understands the unique needs of the young male dancer regardless of where they live and where they are in their personal and artistic development. 

 

As a latecomer to dance, Bryce knows the value of hard work and individual initiative and tries to instill these values in all students to achieve goals not only in the dance world but in all aspects of life.   

 

Bryce holds an Associate's Degree in Elementary and Secondary Education which helps him learn and refine instructional methods as well as understand a student’s psycho-social development.  He has helped guide his students to placements and scholarships in dance competitions and year-round and summer intensives throughout the world including SAB Winter Term, YAGP Soloist Top 3, Ballet West, and Colorado Ballet Studio Company.
